satellite control

Postby grimmy » Mon Mar 21, 2005 12:48 am

Hello,

I have been away from this forum for a while
and have a question.

Does ver.3.0 Ent. have any features for satellite program
control yet ?

How about audition (pre-listening to a file from the On-Air
screen) ?

Got tired of waiting and went with other software.

Ent 3.0 does not have this function yet, but there is a workaround with 2.11 PRO to do this.

Yes, ENT 3.0 does have the pre-listening engine with it. You have to have WinAmp though, and point it to your WinAmp install in the Administration Kit.

Grimmy,

for the workaround on 2.11, you can use the Dave's Line-In Control and the DRS Serial controls to run off satellite. Run the audio input into your line-in on your studio computer, set up the Line-In control, and wire the "Start Break" relays to a serial port on your studio machine as well (NOTE that to trip the start button, hook the relays to pins 7 and 8 on the serial port.) You might want to test that out by manually tripping the trigger to make sure your DRS Serial settings are correct.
