Wayne, see the first post of Mark in this topic :
We ask you to test these Betas on XP and Vista and to tell us if there any bugs left.
So it is ment for MS Windows XP as well as MS Windows Vista.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah version 2.11 works perfectly for me like it has done for the past 4 years, however if I uninstall 2.11 and install 2.2 when in shuffle play it randomly crashes.

Earlier today I noticed it played the top of the hour on the hour then it played one song and then went silent until the next event which at the time was the top of the hour again.

So this is what happened:

09:00 EVENT (Top of hour / News)
09:02 SONG
09:05 SILENCE
10:00 EVENT (Top of hour / News)
10:02 SONG
10:04 SILENCE

It did this over and over until 14:00 when i reverted back to 2.11 which has worked fine ever since I reverted back.

This is in shuffle mode and autoplay is asked to execute the shuffle type's I've specified on the hour.

No settings have been changed because I copied all the digital playlist files and all the digital data files over from 2.11 to 2.2.

Any idea's?

Also one more thing, when you launch the DRS Webkit in 2.2 it says that there is an error.

Thank you,

Kindest Regards,
Wayne Cubitt

Hi Wayne,

you need to be more specific when you post any error. Like error messages, or what happens when you have a crash etc. Does it happen with same songs / events etc.

The Webcasting Kit does not work with Vista yet. Coming up.

DRS2006 Internet Encoder

Postby Hit Music Radio » Tue Feb 05, 2008 6:05 pm

Since the DRS2006 Internet Encoder was updated to work with VISTA it no longer log's the date and time within the file name.

For example before it saved a file every 60 minutes named:

HMRLOG.050208.1400

Now it lists them as being HMRLOG.13

DATE and TIME is essential to our logging for complaints procedures and policies, is there any way we can get it to log date and time or do we need to go back to version 2.5.3?

Kindest Regards,
Wayne Cubitt

Is anyone running 2.2 on XP?
Also, when installing 2.2, does the 2.2 Pro Package overlay 2.1 or do you have to uninstall 2.1?
And, when loading 2.2, does that affect the 3.0 Betas in your system?
(so many questions)
In other words, can I load 2.2 cleanly? Or, is there a preferred way to do it?

One more ... any word on the Enterprise?

[My new 'Star Trek' DVD reminded me of that.]

I'm transitioning to a new computer with Windows 7, and can get Windows 8 when it's available. I'm currently using an XP system with the Enterprise Betas.
My question is, will 4.0 be soon, or should I make the massive switch to 2.2? I'd hate to lose the tenth of a second outcue feature, etc.
And, will I lose my intros, outros, and artist information from 3.0?

Mark,
Does 2.2 work with Windows 8?
Also, what do I have to do to switch from 3.0 to 2.2?
There are conversions for 2.1 to 3.0, but what about the other way since I am going back in time to 2.2?
Will I have to re-enter all of the cue and in/out info?
Help!

Yes, 2.2 will work on Windows 8 and you can convert the database back to 2.11. It is the same as V 2.2
