Mark,
Will the new system work on XP and '7' and '8' when the OS comes out? Just wondering if I have to get out of XP.
A lot of us who do audio production are trying to stretch XP as far as we can. Between permissions, and everything being web based, havoc ensues with recording and mastering. Lots of glitches.

Thanks,

Mark, is it the same old story? Or can we beta test right now?

Mark,

Any teasers on how this will all work? Will it be the same, or a total new think on the process?
Can't wait to start playing with it.

Good luck!

Hi,

the new DRS 2006 V4 is totally new development. Many things will be different. There will only be one software which has the same functions as the current Standard Package plus many more extra features like prelistening or visual cue points etc etc. It will also have an in-built encoder.

Later on we will have many plugins which you can get as you need them. Like sound processing, scheduling functions and much more....

Because of the new technologies like the lightning fast database or independent playout engine, we nearly have no limits anymore. This was our main target because this was a huge problem in V3.

We currently have the first version ready. There are still a few smaller things we have to tweak, but we will shortly start a first non-public beta phase. We will open up a new forum for 10-20 power users which can help us to get 100%. We will then make a short public beta phase before we finally release. As soon as we have it all done, we will start to build the additional plugins.

For sure it will be all new with state of the art technologies. and we are very excited about the new launch of DRS 2006.

This sounds great, Mark! DRS2006 on his way back to be one of the best radio automation applications.

Can't wait to beta test V4!
