Windows 8

Postby Stashu » Wed Sep 05, 2012 6:47 pm

I just bought a new computer over the weekend, and with all of the other software I have, I'm going to take the plunge and get the Windows 8 upgrade when it comes out late October.
I can run both computers for a while during the transition process. But, my question is: do I change all of my 3.0 files back to 2.2, or wait for the new 4.0, and do one conversion.

The 3.0 betas will not run on Windows 8. 2.2 and of course the new 4.0 will.

Hi, Mark!

What will I need to do to convert my 3.0 files to 2.2?
And, then, will there be another conversion to 4.0?
I'm pretty excited about switching to '8' as soon as it comes out. I've checked, and my audio and video editing software is compatible.
I'm also thrilled that there will be a 4.0 with DRS. I know it's been a long journey for you, Mark, and I wish you the best for the future of DRS.
We'll be here when it arrives.

Thanks,

You can use the Converter to convert back to 2.11 or 2.2. V4 will be all new, but it will be a much different database system which is much easier and faster.
