DRS 2006 Music Scheduling Question

Postby satjack » Tue May 25, 2010 9:55 pm

Hello

I am finally getting around to launching my online radio station and I would like to know if someone can help with the following using DRS2006 software.

I would like to schedule 18 hours of music from 6am to Midnight each day. And I would like to recycle/re-air the same music that airs from 9am to 3pm each day from midnight to 6am. Can someone help me out on how to set this up? Thanks for your time ..Rob

You can build your playlists in blocks.
A 6am-9am block.
A 9am-3pm block.
A 3pm-Midnight block.
Or, for afternoon drive, a 3pm-6pm block and a 6pm-Midnight block.
Then, at midnight, repeat that 9am-3pm block.

Suggestion: When you save your playlists, save them using a simple naming convention.
BlockA, BlockB, BlockC. Then, BlockB would always be your 9am-3pm and midnight-6am music.
Some people use an 01 to 07 as a prefix to avoid confusion during the week. For example, 03BlockC would be for Tuesday 3pm-Midnight.
