Negotiating Routers Etc

O.K. We have DRS V3 running happily in rotation mode along with the Broadcaster and Encoder plug-ins. With no broadband access, it's been running as a nice "in-house" music system(!!) Now that broadband has finally arrived around here, we keen to have a go at streaming.... although we seem to have a problem at the final hurdle... the ADSL Modem/router... I'm a complete newbie when it comes to routers and ADSL, so perhaps I could explain what we've done and someone can point out an obvious error that I can't for the life of me see (or understand)....

Our DRS PC (IP also runs a shoutcast server on the standard port 8000 (& by default 8001) - we can connect to it and listen happily...

We have a WinSmall Business Server 2003 with 2 NIC's... one that connects to our local LAN (IP and also another NIC (IP that connects to the outside world (IP via an adsl modem ( On the SBS Server we have a shoutcast server (port 8000) running a relay from the DRS machine. We can connect on the LAN-side to and listen to the stream....

We can also transverse the router within SBS 2003 to the other NIC ( and hear the stream on Port 8000 as expected... It can't be this easy!!

Well, of course it's not that easy... I'm presuming that I need to setup port forwarding or NAPT for ports 8000 & 8001 from the WWW-side ( to the WAN-side ( on the router... I've tried just about every combination, but no matter what we do, we don't seem to be able hear the stream when we dial up

There's bound to be someone that can tell me what obvious mistake I'm making... (go easy, I've had a bad couple of days!!!)
